Abdul Kasim Sheikh's madrasah of Abdul Kasim Sheikh Madrasah - is a monument in Tashkent. It is constructed in the XVI century. Originally – it was the complex, which included the mosque, a bath and madrasah. The place where the complex is located was called before Yangi Makhallya and was one of the public centers. Originally, Abdul Kasim Sheikh's madrasah was the one-store building. In 1864, during restoration of madrasah, the second floor was completed. For a long time Abdul Kasim Sheikh's madrasah was on the quiet street. 

Building history of madrasah 

Recently the madrasah got the new majestic neighbor – the building of parliament of Uzbekistan. In combination with modern, the historical building looks even more attractive.
Tashkent – one of the oldest cities of the East. Despite destructive civil strifes in various times and natural cataclysms, we were reached by many historical monuments. One of them – madrasah Abulkasymkhan. Madrasah. From an entrance to each hudzhra of a wall of madrasah undersigned the quotes from the Koran having educational and historical value, verses-beytami. The building of madrasah was built in uniform ensemble with the Mausoleum Honakoyi Muyi Muborak. In 1892 after the death of the founder Abulkasymkhan of an ishan it began to be called madrasah Abulkasymkhan-ishan.
In days of the Soviet power many constructions of a complex were demolished, but the madrasah building by miracle remained. Now the madrasah is among the historical monuments protected by the state, is under authority of capital department of the International charity foundation "Oltin Meros" (Gold heritage).
In twenty hudzhra (rooms) workshops of Art academy are placed. Here national masters among whom is many celebrities, members of Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, participants and prizewinners of republican, regional, international exhibitions are engaged. Here it is true revived and our national tradition – mentoring thrives.
In the yard of madrasah it is always populous. Pupils of schools, students, inhabitants and guests of the capital, foreign tourists, with interest considering the exposed works, admire graceful miniatures, patterns, delicate work of masters.
The top part of chapel (mekhrob) was restored in 2002. Here two Beit in Tajik remained. The quatrain is rapped out in style nastajlik, the Arab calligraphy on a light-green background by blue paints, and notifies on true value of the building:
