TASHKENT - the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan - has more than 2000 years. This amazingly beautiful and welcoming city has gone from a tiny oasis to the largest city in Central Asia. Монумент Мужество

Streets and squares of Tashkent are decorated by a set of monuments, among them the special attention is deserved by the Courage Monument. It is put in memory of terrible incident of 1966 here. The monument consists of a black cube and a bronze sculpture. On the one hand a cube date is cut: On April 26, 1966, and on another - the dial with the shooters specifying time - 5 hours 24 minutes. This day early in the morning the city was shaken by an earthquake measuring 8,3 points. The cube is split by a crack - as a crust break symbol - and proceeds to a podium on which there is a sculpture representing the woman with the child on hands and the man covering them with the breast from natural disaster. Around a monument the relief compositions narrating about restoration of the city settle down.

The museum of armed forces of Tashkent was founded in 1965. The rich and extensive exposition of the museum displays history of development of military art of the people of Central Asia and Uzbekistan and history of Armed Forces of the modern period of the country. The most colourful exposition, containing the valuable objects found on archeological excavations military art of an era Temuridov" - eras of government of the great commander and the emperor Amir Temur is considered ".

Museum of Olympic Glory - the museum in Tashkent devoted to the Olympic Movement. The Tashkent city Planetarium is created on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 03.11.2003 No. 649, the Tashkent city Hokimiyat's decision of 07.11.2003 No. 748 and the order of head department for Hokimiyat's culture of the city of Tashkent of 10.12.2003 No. 86. The Tashkent city Planetarium is on balance of Head department for culture and sport now. The equipment for Planetarium is allocated with the government of Japan according to cultural Grant and intended for demonstration of the Star sky and also planets of Solar system.

Старый Рынок Чорсу

- one of the oldest markets of Tashkent and all Central Asia; the best-known market of Uzbekistan. This richest market, as if embodiment of legends of the Ancient East. It was of great importance in development of trade in the Great silk way. The name of the market is very symbolical and in translation means "four ways". Chorsu's market is brought in 1000 popular places of the world. Territorially it is located in the Old city in an environment of craft and masterful quarters. Once near the market one of the largest caravanserais accepting the Indian merchants settled down. 

The Tashkent television tower — the highest structure with the observation deck, open for visit, in Central Asia; it is a structure, the second for height, in Central Asia after a 420-meter chimney of Ekibastuz GRES-2, its height is 375 meters, it is a world television tower, the eleventh on height, and also freely standing world construction, the 38th on height (at the time of commissioning — the 9th in the world). The television tower was under construction within 6 years since 1978. It is brought into operation on January 15, 1985.

Construction of a complex was begun at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan of Islam Abdughanievich of Karimov.
The complex is put in operation on August 29, 2012.
Domestic experts projected and built stadium. Local building materials were used (except for special processing equipment). In construction and balancing and commissioning such well-known companies as "BOSh" (Germany), "SIS" (Great Britain) took part. The official opening ceremony was held on September 28, 2012. The President of Uzbekistan Islam Abdughanievich Karimov took part in it.

Ансамбль Шейхантаур

Sheykhantaur complex (the 2nd floor. 15th century - 19th century) - one of the main historical ensembles of Tashkent. It developed around a tomb of the local sheikh Havendi Takhur who died in 1355, by name which all district of the city was called. Archeologists proved that the first mausoleum was built in the II half of the 15th century at Hodge Akhrar, and at the end of the century near a mazar the chillyakhona was arranged (the underground camera for a forty-day post).

Sheikh Havendi Takhur's mausoleum (it is founded in the XIV-XV century, elevated - a part - the end of the 18th century - the beginning of the 19th century). The remained construction not initial. it is erected on the old bases, with saving the plan and the main architectural forms. In the mausoleum take place a ziaratkhona, gur-a hona. In composition of the mausoleum the high dome of a ziaratkhona dominates, the gurkhona dome behind it is less and below. The mausoleum is difficult from a light yellow brick. In windows of a gurkhona and on the southern facade of a ziaratkhona are inserted ceramic mayolikovy pandzha-ra (decorative lattices). The main facade is issued in the form of the small portal. The decor is absent.

Мавзолей Калдыргач-бия (пер. пол. XV в.)

The oldest of the remained monuments in the territory of Tashkent. There are no direct historical data on time of construction. It is dated on archaeological researches. The building was built in the 15th century of a burned brick on high-quality solution and is remarkable the composition. It has a double pyramidal dome, rare for Uzbekistan, on low twelve a-faced drum. The mausoleum in the plan square, is separate dome construction. There is no facing on a facade.
