The memorial Shakhidlar Hotirasi complex (Memories of the victims of repressions) was open on May 12, 2000. The memorial occupies 17 hectares and settles down in that part of the city where in the 30th year’s executions illegally convicts were carried out. In 1920-40 only in Uzbekistan about 100 thousand people were repressed, from them 13 thousand were shot. Among the victims of Stalin repressions, such outstanding persons are as Abdullah of Qadiriyya, Fitrat, Chulpon, Hamza.

The complex consists of the park, the museum and a rotunda with a symbolical gravestone from a jade stone. On a gravestone in three languages (Arab, English and Uzbek) it is traced: "The memory of those who died for the fatherland will live forever". The building of the museum "Memories of the Victims of Repressions" decorated with woodcarving under a light blue dome has a set of window openings and internal lighting. The exposition of the museum includes historical documents and photos.
